Career Exploration and Transition

You spend most of your waking life at work. You deserve to be happy doing what you do!

Searching for career direction?

In transition and need a change?

Did you “fall into” a career, or pursue a career path because it’s what your parents did or wanted you to do? … or because it was the first job you landed out of college, it was good money and hard to walk away from?

Create a Career on Purpose

Choosing a career that fits you – using the skills you enjoy using, in a field of interest that fits your work style and temperament – can be a challenge to do on your own. After all, if you knew what to do you would have already done it, right?

I use career assessments and reflective listening to help you identify your unique combination of skills, interests, temperament, and work style, considering what’s most important to you.

We’ll explore career options that fit you – some you may have considered, and many that you haven’t thought of before.

Sometimes finding the “right fit” is a matter of identifying what’s already working for you, and what’s not, in your current job or career.

Sometimes it’s about figuring out how to combine what you love to do in a way that’s practical in your current circumstances.

Laynette helped me to define my career goals and find targeted positions in my job search. As my career counselor, she provided me with new job search strategies and also helped me find my unique talents. I highly recommend Laynette's expertise in career counseling.

  • Dianna Karlicek

Laynette is extremely skilled at fostering relationships, giving constructive feedback, and coaching people through difficult situations. She knows how to be sympathetic, while at the same time helping people to work through any challenges that they may have. She is always encouraging. I look forward to being able to collaborate with her in the future.

  • Carla Giampapa

I was changing careers and transitioning from being self-employed to looking for a team to join. Through career assessments and exploration, we identified several options based on my values, skills and aptitudes, which led to an amazing position. I went from scared, insecure and directionless to confident, powerful and fulfilled.

Laynette's knowledge and experience are impressive, and more important to me is the woman behind the knowledge and experience. Laynette is exceptional at listening, creating clarity out of chaos and empowering those she assists. It is with complete confidence that I say to you: You owe it to yourself to work with Laynette.
