What is the difference between a winning interview and one that ends in a rejection letter?

Preparation.

Why prepare for an interview if we already know our own life story? Because a hiring manager is listening for certain things. If you’re not giving them what they want or wasting their time with information they don’t care about, you’re not going to get the job.

Most of us are taught not to talk about ourselves and our accomplishments. It can sound like bragging, so we’re told to avoid it. But in a job interview that’s exactly what we’ll need to do—and we need to be good at it.

Interview Skills

Learn how to frame your experiences in a way that makes you an essential addition to their team.

I’ve interviewed hundreds of job seekers over the years in my corporate work. I’ll prepare you to answer difficult questions.  I’ll teach you the best methods for responding in behavioral interviews with compelling stories from your work life. We’ll talk about handshakes, body language and eye contact. We’ll also go over the subtle but significant differences in telephone, online, in-person and group interviews. I can also arrange mock interviews for you to get valuable feedback.

Don’t expect to show up for an interview unprepared and get an offer. Give me a call or send me an email to prepare you for your next interview.
